Some of the most stunning photos printed on canvas by APC are shot within our national parks. And our customers tell us that one of the easiest ways to find and capture the iconic scenes that make each park so special is to simply follow the advice of photographers who've toiled for years scouting the perfect locations.
Thousands of photographers have contributed to the printed books and shooting manuals that for decades have served so well as guides for pros and amateurs who want to follow their leads into the wilds of the park system. Now, however, a new breed of photographers is creating robust electronic guides that carry the promise of lightening our loads during the hunt for the perfect shot.
The creators of the iFotoGuides for iPhone and iPad have already introduced three park-specific apps that are fulfilling that promise – with more in development. Now, shooters trekking to Arhes, Yosemite and Grand Canyon National Parks can arm themselves with a few megs of data on a device they already carry, swapping out the weighty printed materials for an extra camera body or lens – or the extra provisions that will enable them to venture further than their encumbered fellow shooters.
Each app includes vital park information, interactive maps, photo locations, sunrise and sunset tables, stunning image galleries by renowned expert photographers, and even information on dining, lodging and other nearby services – in short, all of the information you need to make the most of your photo tour of each park. These guides won't weigh you down by one ounce, and the iFotoGuide apps set you back only $4.99 each – way less than those heavy printed guidebooks.

This is an early morning shot in Acadia National Park in July 2010. Loved the look of the rocks combined with trees and fog. Very ethereal feeling. If I had a choice of app, Yosemite would top my list with Arches second.

One day, I decided that it was about time I saw Lexington as an adult. I had been before as a kid, but certainly didn't appreciate it as I should. I took this shot of the North Bridge right as it was starting to drizzle and people were leaving. My top choices for an app would be either Grand Canyon or Arches.
Here's my entry from Zion National Park.

Sprague Lake at Rocky Mountain National Park. I love RMNP and this image will probably be my next APC print once I decide how big I want to print.
Arches or Yosemite guide would be my 1st and 2nd choice b

Forgot my choices: Yosemite or Grand Canyon...
Thanks!

A white-tailed buck from the Great Smoky Mountains. I was shooting fairly close to him when he just decided to lay down right in front of me.

Yosemite would be my first choice in an iFotoGuide, snicne I'm going there in December. The Grand Canyon would be my second choice.
Here is mine from Mammouth Hot Springs.

This image was taken at sunset from the Snake River Overlook in Grand Teton National Park. My choices would be for Yosemite and Grand Canyon, thanks!

I shot this in July on the trail to Grinnell Glacier in Glacier National Park. Glacier has some of the most beautiful mountain scenery I've seen anywhere and I hope this photograph gives you some idea of how it felt to be part of this incredible scene.
Should I be among the first 15, Yosemite is my first choice. Thanks!
DOH! Looks like I'm a little geographically challenged today. It's pretty obvious that that it's not Glacier NP in the photo. It's as close to a perfect morning at Reflection Lake in Mt Rainier NP shot this past August.
Oh, and here's the shot from Glacier described in the first comment: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robdweck/4948802594/
Going to look for my brain now...

Have the prize codes been sent out yet? Thanks.
Thanks so much! Love the Arches iPhotoGuide app!
