This is “In the Limelight,” our blog series that takes a closer look at some stunning canvas prints and the photographers behind them. Our “Limelight Questionnaire” gets to the who, what, when and why, while the photographers tell us in their own words what they want us to know about the shot. You’ll get information and inspiration In the Limelight!

with an 18-200 lens.”
Why art?
I have been drawn to photography since an early age, using a Kodak Instamatic that my parents gave me for graduation, and have always loved making photographs. If it wasn't art/photography, it would be literature.
What are your favorite things to make images of?
Landscapes, close ups, anything to do with nature or architecture
Who inspires or influences you?
Georgia O'Keeffe has always been my hero, as well as Imogen Cunningham, Ruth Bernhard and Joel Meyerowitz. I am also inspired by poetry of any kind.
What has displaying your work in printed form meant to you? Why canvas?
Canvas adds to the painterly quality I am trying to achieve with my work, and a bonus is that it is ready to hang when received. My customers do not have to invest in framing unless they choose to.
How did you discover APC?
The quality of work from APC amazes me. And their staff offers much more than ‘customer service’ — it’s personal service — as I find them to be my partners in making art. Fellow artists have tried to get me to use other labs; not a chance! Artistic Photo Canvas continuously ‘makes me look good’ and soon my fellow artists will be using APC as well!
