Photo: Susan Ferrari – “One Wild and Crazy Guy”
Canvas: 30" x 20" Thick Gallery Wrap with Gloss Finish

“This photo was taken at the Venice Rookery, an Audubon site in Venice, Florida. ‘One Wild and Crazy Guy’ would be an apt title, given the crazy wet-head do of this male anhinga. Besides the spikey feathers on his head, I was also drawn to the exquisite green around his eyes, something that appears only during the breeding season. As he dried his wings and displayed his beautiful breeding plumage, he seemed to be saying, ‘Okay, you lucky ladies, here I am – come and get me!’

“I used my Canon Eos Rebel T4i with EF 70-300 mm lens. The photo was taken with 300mm, f 5.6, 1/2000.” —Susan Ferrari
