About the Collection

Stephen Saint-Onge Collection Canvas in a room settingIn my work as a designer, art has always been a big part of the finished spaces I create.

I have seen how a photograph or a painting can create a mood for a room or even inspire a theme. I have experienced how a room, in the final stages of the design process, can truly come to life with the placement of art. Whether a large painting over a sofa or a small collection of photographs on a bookcase — your eye is drawn to them and you are invited into the world or essence they capture. That is why art can be such a powerful tool for the home. I believe that good home design can transport you — and art can take that concept even further...

As a creative person that wears many hats — designer, photographer, artist, writer, film-maker — the visual is very much a part of everything I do. At the same time, as a husband, father and homeowner, I have come to appreciate how home environments are very much a part of our everyday lives. I know what my home means to me. I know that we want spaces that are good to ourselves and to our families… Art is very much a part of making that all even better. It's the creative bridge between taking your home from what is now to what it deserves to be.

The Stephen Saint-Onge Canvas Collection is something I have dreamed of doing for a long time.
In my years of doing private client projects and makeovers in the media, I found myself always searching for good art to use in my design projects. Most times, I became frustrated by the selections that were available at the retailers I was shopping at. I decided it was time to make good art available to everyone in an easy to attain way. I truly wanted to create and produce art for the everyday home. Simple as that. I wanted it to be an ever-evolving collection that would have something for everyone and that people could come back to and always find something new. I'm very excited that this dream is now a reality that I can share with you.

Art is very personal. The pieces that evoke a positive response will be different for each of us. That is why I'm excited about this collection. I love that I can create photographs and paintings that mean something to me and share them with you in a very direct way. As you browse the collection (and, hopefully, keep coming back to see what I've added), I want you to be inspired and maybe moved a little by a piece you respond to. Most importantly, I hope my Collection inspires you to bring art into your own home. It is attainable, creative and designed with you in mind — no matter who you are, where you live, or how big or small your home may be.

We cannot control the outside world we live in — but we can create an environment on the inside of our homes that is good to us. Art is a touchstone in our homes that is part of that goodness.

Be creative. All the best,

Stephen
