“Myanmar (Burma) is an exotic country in Southeast Asia and I was privileged to spend three weeks there in 2011. As a Buddhist country, it is a land of monks and of thousands of pagodas. Pagodas are so prolific that any landscape shot will surely include at least two or three. It is also a land of constant morning fog and smoke, adding an ethereal beauty to sunrise imagery. Here two monks on a hill overlooking a fog enshrouded valley greet the day’s first rays of sunshine. The result is an almost storybook image which creates a strong sense of what Myanmar is all about.”  — Jim
