Dramatize

Pro photographers have recently embraced and popularized a set of techniques referred to as "HDR" (high dynamic range) imaging. It's a complex undertaking that involves shooting the same subject at multiple exposures and then combining those images through a laborious set of post-processing manipulations. APC's Dramatize technique makes it possible to achieve a similarly intense and dramatic high-detail look that resembles HDR with single-exposure images already in your collection.

The Dramatize technique works like a charm (and looks phenomenal) when applied to well-lit, contrast-y landscape photographs that depict generous expanses of sky, water and earth.  It also works its magic on skylines, cityscapes and other architectural images. It does not, however, do nice things to skin, or fur! For that reason, we strongly recommend that you do not select this technique for photos of people or pets!

In the dark gray bar below there are several "thumbnails" you can click to see the Dramatize technique applied to a variety of sample photos. If you hover your pointer over the "Before" and "After" previews, larger, uncropped versions of the images will appear.
