I called Artistic Photo Canvas and presented an interesting challenge. I had a photo that meant a lot to someone who meant a lot to me, but unfortunately it was a very poor quality photo. I think your representative picked up almost immediately how desperate I was to make this photo work and he suggested I send it to him and let him play with it and work on some different options. Lew eventually came back and suggested he apply the Pop Art technique ever so slightly and believed that would make a difference. I'm not sure what happened behind the scenes after that, but somehow you all managed to take a 24kb digital photo and turn it into something amazing. I couldn't be happier about the way this gift turned out and am sincerely grateful for all of the help Lew gave to me. He really made me feel that getting this gift to be perfect was important to him as well, and I find that a truly rare quality. Thank you to everyone at Artistic Photo Canvas, especially Lew.

My canvas was made from a picture taken on the Island of St. Kitts. The sea on the left side is the Mediterranean. The body of water on the right side is the Atlantic ocean.
